Reading Old Posts

I haven't posted lately - once again I'm going to try to post on a consistent bases.  Reading old posts was depressing.  I have to admit I haven't made much progress.  I still need to loose weight and I still need to get out of debt.  No point in looking back it is time to move forward.   Summer is here - we have a lot going on - a wedding - a beautiful granddaughter - a big garden to work on and many home improvements that need to be completed.

Many Changes and No progress

I wish I could say that I have made progress in paying off my debt, but I haven't.  In fact I probably have more debt.   The year is ending next week and the only bright thing that happened this year is my new grand daughter.  I find no excitement, no motivation and very little happiness.  I'm tired, out of shape and disappointed with myself.  I need to pull it together in 2015 - it starts with me.   I need to move forward and get out of this rut.   Life is too short and I need to start enjoying it.

Crabby Day

From the time I walked into work until I left I was crabby.  My tolerance of BS is zero.   I wish I could stay home and stop working all together.   Another motivation to pay off this debt.  My goal is to pay off my debt by the age of 59.   I also decided to quit school my heart is not into it and I'm not sure what I would do with the degree once I finished school.  I need to work on my health and spend quality time with my family.  On a lighter note the big head at the Contemporary Art Museum is being dismantled.  I must admit I have no idea what the point of the big head was.   I'm looking forward to the next exhibit.

I'm going to be a grandma!

I haven't posted in a longtime.   This is my birthday month so I made it my mission to start posting more.   I'm happy to report that my eldest daughter is pregnant she is due in October.  It doesn't give me much time to do everything I want to do in order to spend as much time as possible with the new baby.  My daughter lives 6 hours away - so I plan on spending a lot driving back to forth to help her out.  I need to develop reasonable monthly goals and work towards paying off my debt without adding new debt.

Goals for May:

1.  Finish a quilt
2.  Finish a book
3.  Exercise 3x week
4.  Concentrate on paying off one credit card.
5.  Catch up at work.
6.  Blog 3x week
7.  No new credit card debt
8.  Work towards paying off one credit card.
9.  Eat healthy
10. Save money
11. Take pictures.

More Snow!

It snowed most of the day - I snow plowed.

We spent most of the day being lazy.

Maggie loves being lazy!

It has been a quiet day - we slept late, plowed, went for coffee and made a big pot of soup.   It's my kind of day.  Tomorrow I have a busy day, I need to go to the grocery store, drive back downtown and do homework.  I'm not motivated with school, work or anything else.  I'm not feeling all that great physically or mentally.   It's time to buck up and get it together.   I decided instead of yearly or monthly goals I would make weekly goals plus a couple of monthly goals.

Goals for the Week of February 2nd.

Work out 3 times this week
Finish Sycamore Row
Start the new book
Start Nicole's Baby Quilt
Start Nicole's Baby Sweater.

Month Goal:

20 no spend days
1000 towards my teeth

Restaurant Week

Espresso Cake

Today I took the day off and went with my husband to Berghoff's for a late lunch.  This week is restaurant week it is a great opportunity to visit restaurants you have never tried and pick from a limited menu.  Lunch was delicious and the Espresso Cake was to die for.   I would definitely go back.

Homework and Knitting

Homework and knitting that is all I have been doing over the last week.   This is week one in macroeconomics.  This is all new to me since I don't have a business background.  It is a 6 week course I'm hoping to get through it without a problem.  I knitting a scarf for my eldest daughter - she wanted it in purple, wide and long.  I have a long way to go.   This weekend I'm heading to Springfield to help move my youngest to her new apartment.
